VISION, MISSION & OBJECTIVE

OUR VISION - To be a key instrument in the establishment of the rule of Christ over all the remaining unreached nations of the earth.

OUR MISSION - To sensitize the body of Christ about the needs of cross-cultural missions in the areas of prayers, personnel, finances and other resources and to mobilize these resources for missionary work.

OBJECTIVES:
• Raise, process and distribute resources to promote effective missions projects and to support missionaries in the fields.

• Encourage and support the education or training of local indigenes in the frontier fields.

• Motivate and mobilize Christian Youths for a career in cross-cultural missions.

• Provide legal advocacy to missionaries and other deserving persons on the frontlines.

• Organise short-term vision trips to mission fields.

• Work with Churches, Missions, agencies, other Christian groups and individuals to promote cross-cultural ministry to the unreached.

STRATEGIC PROGRAMMES
1. MISSION AWARENESS PROGRAMMES - Packaged as ECIM - [Enhancing Christians' Involvement in Missions]. Features missions awareness talks in Churches, a mission’s weekend or a 1-3 month orientational missions training for church workers, youths, evangelism/missions wing, or the entire fellowship. MSI members also participate in programmes organized by other bodies for exhibition and one-on-one sharing.

2. CHURCH PLANTING - Recruit, train, send and supervise missionaries, on the fields in conjunction with church congregations or other Christian groups.

3. MOBILIZATION CONFERENCES - MSI organizes conferences, seminars and workshops to mobilize the body of Christ especially Christian professionals, for global missions. Church groups are also assisted to organize their mission’s conferences.

4. SHORT TERM MISSIONS - An avenue for Christians to have a feel of the mission field. MSI encourages and arranges for Christians to spend their leave periods, holidays or weekends on a mission field or mission office to get some practical touch of missionary work. This could be within or outside Nigeria. The International Missions Prayer Journey (IMPJ), which comes up yearly, takes a team of Short Termers to one or two African countries for two weeks to pray on site with insight. Information on countries to be visited and registration details are available on request.

5. INVADERS WATCH - A weekly prayer forum where members come together to share and pray for about one hour, for the work of missions. It is designed in such a way as not to affect members' commitment to their local church, fellowship or ministry activities.

Members agree on a convenient time and venue to meet and share together things pertaining to the progress of missions work as reports are received from missionaries, and then pray. Members are also mailed monthly prayer calendars for their daily personal prayers. Membership is opened to all believers. MISSION CRY is an annual mission’s prayer conference.

6. PROJECT ASSIST - A package offering legal assistance or advocacy to deserving prison inmates, missionaries, Christian workers and organizations at minimal or no cost at all.

7. RELIEF MINISTRY - Handling financial and material aid to missionaries, missionary children (Mks) and the unreached people. Sponsorship of missions’ projects and training of unreached people children (UPKs).
